Co-designing a Community Information Exchange

Building a community information exchange (CIE) that’s useful to a community and regularly used requires a creation process infused throughout with local community needs. It’s not enough to ask community partners for occasional input. Instead, these community partners should take an active role. A codesign process like this takes time, careful planning, and flexibility to execute. In this session, participants learned from Jessica Osborne Stafsnes and Taffy Stockton about the experience of Humboldt County’s CIE and had an opportunity to begin thinking through a CIE codesign process to serve their own community.
